The Lord takes Pleasure…

Here’s another thing to remember and ponder while we try to please the Lord:

The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy. Psalm 147:11

  1. You mean that we are supposed to fear God? What about ‘No Fear’ bumper stickers that I used to see all the time. Isn’t that the secular response. I definitely want to learn to fear Him and to hope in his mercy more and more. Thanks.

  2. Hoping in mercy presupposes that we need mercy. We must admit our sin to be able to hope in mercy.
