And I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not ye afraid of them: remember the Lord, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses. (Nehemiah 4:14)
As I read this, I was reminded of my ramble a week ago or so. All of life is balance. Some trust in horses, but we will trust the Lord. BUT ALSO, Remember the Lord and fight for your brethren… This shows the importance of reading all the Bible and applying Scripture as a whole to our lives. We must be careful not to pick certain phrases out and “run with them.”
