Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities. (Psalms 141:5)
I think everyone could use this as a reminder. I hope that I do when I am reproved. People that really care will “smite” or “reprove” when needed, even though many times those actions seem to hurt relationships. Righteous people will think as the psalmist does here. Being reproved or smitten by the righteous is a kindness and an excellent oil.
