A Thanksgiving Prayer


Our gracious, heavenly Father.  We are thankful today for your goodness toward us, the grace you have bestowed upon us.  We are thankful for the family that we can gather together with.  We are thankful for the friends we have because of Jesus Christ that are with us also.  We are thankful that we can have joyful fellowship together because of the communion we enjoy in your Son, Jesus Christ.  We are thankful for the food we get to eat this day, and we are thankful that there is so much of it. We are thankful because they all remind us of the bountiful grace that you have given us – there’s so much of it. As we bless you, we ask that you also bless us. Please bless our family, our friends, our fellowship, and our food.  We ask these things of you in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ — your gift of love towards us.  Amen.

Dr. Jeff Voegtlin has been in Christian service for over twenty years. He is an associate pastor at Fairhaven Baptist Church in Chesterton, Indiana, and a Vice President of Fairhaven Baptist College. As conductor of the church and schools' orchestra program, and overseer of the educational program of the college, his teaching has helped to train hundreds of young adults to prepare for full-time ministry. After completing a bachelor's degree from Fairhaven Baptist College, he received a master's degree in Bible from Pensacola Christian College. In 2007, he completed the requirements to finish a doctor's degree in education from Bob Jones University. Dr. Voegtlin is available for seminars in instrumental and choral music practice and philosophy, for education seminars, and to preach and present the college ministry.
