Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying.
Here’s a quick thought from my devotions and a recent sermon: …while there is hope.
There’s a lot of time in that phrase. Parents should chasten their children early — while there is hope. Little children should live in a totalitarian state. Those that do, can live in a republic as teens. When parents are soft and democratic with little children, their home turns to anarchy or totalitarianism when the children are teens. And teens rebel against totalitarianism.
Chasten thy son…
…while there is hope!
