We had a very good night’s rest last night. We woke up at 7:45 a.m. when my dad called inviting us to breakfast. We decided to powerwalk the promenade instead of running this morning. For brunch, we went to the Lido restaurant at 10:00 a.m. We were supposed to begin our tour of Jerusalem at 11:00, but we were not allowed off the boat until almost 10:45.
Entrance to the church in Bethlehem.
The tomb at “Gordon’s Calvary”
The place of the Skull
Today we saw were Jesus spent a good portion of His life–where He was born, where He died, and the tomb from which He arose. We stood on Mt. Olives and also saw Old Jerusalem.
Our tour guide was a Christian and he was very knowledgeable. The bus we rode in was a Mercedes–very nice. We learned a lot about Israel’s history and current events. There is a lot of turmoil here.
When we returned to the ship around 6:30 p.m., we ate, did laundry, and relaxed out on the deck.
I would love to get the chance to go to the Holy Land some day. The pictures are great. You are blessed and you better not forget it!
