Hebrews 4:10 – For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
To rest in God’s Canaan, we must cease from our own works. This does not mean that we do not work, just that we do not work our own works. Our own works are not of faith, they are legalism — this is something we must work at understanding and actually doing.
Hebrews 4:11 – Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
