Today was a day at sea. Annette tried to sit out in the sun but she was exhausted from her run in the heat, so she spent most of the day inside. We sat in the Explorers’ Lounge for awhile and listened to the string trio.
It was formal night tonight again and a special dinner. Dessert was Baked Alaska’s and had sparklers stuck in them and the dining stewards paraded them around the dining room. That evening we listened to an oboe soloist, and she was very good — Salima.
Each night, when we get back to our room from dinner our steward has prepared the room for the night and often makes an animal out of one of our towels. Here’s a picture of a monkey he made for us.
