  • Caesarea – Herod’s City and the home of Pontius Pilate (Theatre, Praetorium, Hippodrome, & Aqueduct)
  • Look over Lebanon from Adamit where Hezbollah forces started the 2006 Lebanese War with Israel
  • Hike to the ancient ruins of Kedesh, a city of refuge conquered by Joshua
  • Tel Hazor – the destruction by Joshua and the Israelites as reported in Joshua 11
  • Evening Event: Visit the 1940s underground weapons hideout at Kfar Giladi, on the Lebanese border

Galilee Region

  • Kayak down the Jordan River
  • Tel Dan
  • Caesarea Phillipi (Banias), hiking from the waterfall to the cave of Pan
  • Golan Heights, Mt. Bental (Syrian/Israeli bunkers) and lookout over Syria and the Road to Damascus
  • Roman city of Sephoris, the capital of Herod Antipas
  • Nazareth and visit the Brow of the Hill

  • Beth Shean, capital of the Decapolis.  Hike up to where Saul and his sons were hung by the Philistines.

Countryside

  • Mt. Gilboa

  • Qumran: With permission, hike up the cliffs to the Caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered.

  • Sunrise hike up Masada
  • Nature hike to the Ein Gedi waterfall
  • Shilo, see where the tabernacle once had been stationed.
  • Mt. Gerizim (see where the Samaritans perform their sacrifices and look over Shechem.)

  • Hike through the Kidron Valley up to the Temple Mount to see the site of the ancient temple and the modern-day Dome of the Rock

  • Explore the City of David and go underground through Hezekiah’s Tunnel to the Pool of Siloam.
